Belarus, the former Soviet bloc state, has been described in the past as the last European dictatorship. However, following on the most recent election which yet again saw Lukashenko win by a considerable margin, mass demonstrations have begun across the state and continue to gain momentum. We are going to take a look at how the current crisis has arisen and try to see how it is going to play out.
